The provision was opened after consultation with Knowsley Borough Council and resulted in Flourish FE being established in Septemebr 2019.
It was concluded that a cost-effective 19+ High Needs Further Education provision could be provided within borough. An overarching and more important impact that the curriculum for Preparation for Adulthood outcomes could be delivered in a more meaningful and relevant local setting.
Flourish FE became the first specialist high needs provision to open in Knowsley to specifically cater for and meet the needs of young people who had no other alternative education option within borough.
It has grown steadily throughout the years and has helped a number of young adults gain qualifications and achieve their educational outcomes
Flourish FE is part of Knowsley Family and Community Education.
